MULTIPLE OUTLET PORT |
The heart of the 5 Mix cartridge system. The International Patent Pending Multiple Outlet system utilises two different configurations; Type 1 or Type 2. The format on the cartridge depends upon the ratio of the two products to be dispensed as explained below:
TYPE 1 |
The Type 1 port design is used on the 1:1 and 2:1 ratio cartridges. Both sets of openings have a similar cross-secional area to maximise the pre-splitting of both dipensed material parts. The graphic on the right clearly shows how the material is dispensed in multiple streams. When these multiple streams go through a mixing nozzle, its orientation is not critical as mixing starts immediatly unlike most of the competition, where the nozzle must be orientated correctly to maximise the first element. |

TYPE 2 |
The Type 2 port design is used on the 4:1 and 10:1 ratio cartridges. The openings on the inner cartridge have a smaller cross-sectional area to make sure the material flow is still fast enough to ensure an even distribution at all times. The graphic on the right clearly shows how the material is dispensed in multiple streams. When these multiple streams go through a mixing nozzle, its orientation is not critical as mixing starts immediatly unlike most of the competition, where the nozzle must be orientated correctly to maximise the first element. |

The picture below is a direct comparison, using the same acrylic based sealants and clearly shows how the 5 Mix multiple outlet port assists in the complete mixing of the 2 different materials using fewer elements within the mixing nozzle. |
